This is the first time I’ve seen a video of a bent press;

I’ve tried the lift before but found it very awkward so this video maybe something to help. Note how he talks about moving away from the weight.

AP’s Inch Press Video

Earlier I reported on AP’s Inch Dumbbell lift – AP sent me an encouraging email on my quest to see how much I could do and included a 4.7 MB video of him doing the lift which you can download by clicking here.

I’m currently at 51.3 kg…

I think that realistically I’m unlikely to get to the same weight as AP but I’ll just keep plugging away.

AP and the Inch Dumbbell

Over at a forum, that shall remain nameless, BLOBERT posted a picture of fellow P&Ber AP overhead lifting the Inch Dumbbell with one hand.

The Inch Dumbbell masses 78.3 kg and has a 100 mm long handle which is 60.5 mm wide. Inspired by this I started preparing for my own version of the lift;

World’s Strongest Man 2007

For UK readers the heats for the World’s Strongest Man are currently running on Channel 5, 8:00 pm.

The first heat was yesterday, Phil Pfister got through easily only having to do token lifts for the last two events. Tarmo Mitt is also through.
